Hello fellow Summer of Fun participants! So far, I have had a busy summer but the weather hasn’t been cooperating as much as I would have liked. It makes it hard to do fun outdoorsy things when its cold or raining, so the kayaks have only been used a couple of times and my bike mileage is not as high as I would like it to be. But I have managed to find some things to do that qualify under the Summer of Fun tenants, but instead of writing about them, I decided to just post a photo journey of them. Enjoy!
Dammit, Spock! I’m a Bubbler, not a Drinking Fountain!!
I find a lot of odd things when I am out and about. This random dinner chair was spotted on the Fox River Trail in early May.
- Spawning carp in the Fox River, seen from the River Viewing Pier at Voyageur Park
White pelicans, eating the carp spawn.
First trip to Door County – on the beach in Jackson Port.
Best team ever!! This year I ran the Bellin Run with myTeam Triumph. Joe Christensen was our captain, and myself, Lisa and Jericho were his angels.
Me and my sis at the races!
Old Baggy chillin’ on the deck.

I am…the Cow Whisperer
The Fox River, taken from the River View Pier. If you haven’t checked that out yet, you should!

Roadside flowers. Photo taken on a bike ride near Freedom, WI
Random plaster eagle head. Probably weirder than the chair on the Fox River Trail. Taken on a bike ride near Freedom – same road and ride as the wildflowers above.
Kay, me and Meggie hanging out in the hive at the Menominee River Century
Lynn trying to get in the hive. It’s not the sort of thing that can be done with grace.
Horse Whisperer!
Cruisin in the Batmobile and our song comes on.
Found my grandparent’s old cottage on a fun ride with Kay and Meg. We spent many a summer here back in the day.
Red River Park with Kay and Meg
Kay giving me the evil eye at Bayshore Park. We rode down the big hill to the boat landing, and had to bike back up.
15 Minutes of Fame
Awesome double rainbow. We had a lot of these this summer.
Dave and I kayaking on Kangaroo Lake
Nice gam! My Race the Lake number.
Race the Lake Selfie!
Kay and I right after Race the Lake. We were described as “buttery”. 90 miles, baby!
